Having grown up in a family of artists, with my mother as my primary mentor and art teacher, a lifelong commitment to the visual arts was almost inevitable. As a young adult, I apprenticed for four years as a mural painting assistant and took various studio courses in painting and drawing, primarily in Toronto and Southern Ontario.
Since then, I have worked as an art instructor at a private art school, an early childhood educator in one on Toronto’s only arts-based public elementary schools and painted myriad murals, portraits and pet portraits, spanning over 25 years.
Although I still enjoy painting murals and other subjects, I focus mainly on painting pets now, because that is where my heart is.
